He has arrived in California! That little jalopy of his made it all the way from Michigan to California. Unfortunately, when it reached Hollywood, it literally fell apart. Harp believed that the only kind thing to do was to put it out of its misery, and then properly bury it in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale. It was a good little flivver, he will miss it.

The Hollywood sign was originally a housing development advertisement for "Hollywoodland", built in 1923 (which was within Harp's time-frame of living). The sign didn't become "Hollywood" until 1949.
